The Art of Elysium's 5th Annual Heaven Gala

Cameron Silver, the fashionable owner of Decades boutique on Melrose, in conjunction with Audi and Relativity Media presented the 5th annual Heaven gala at Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles. This fabulous & prestigious event brought together celebrities, music and fashion for a good cause: empowering hospitalized children through art and creative expression.

Elijah Wood was presented with the Spirit of Elysium Award, and I got really up close & personal with the actor on the red carpet! He was humble, gracious, and very kind--one of my favorite encounters so far!

The ticket to get into this glamorous event? $3,125! Luckily, I was behind the scenes and even got validated parking (in L.A. that's huge). As the celebrities glided down the red carpet, they were escorted into a room for cocktails and jazz before dinner. British singer Estelle even gave a performance upon the elevated stage. The dining area was beautiful, and designed to look like Heaven.

Meanwhile, backstage...

The models were coming in from hair and makeup and were to be dressed in some beautiful, opulent, vintage gowns from Decades, including a 1970s canary yellow Givenchy gown, and a gorgeous golden eyelash dress by YSL from the 1970s.

They were also filming a show for Bravo backstage! The stylist of the entire show was asked to repeat the same line about 4 times because the sound people needed a better quality track! It was amusing to say the least.

It was a wonderful evening and brought people out for a great cause. I loved being a part of the production! xo
